Selecting your wedding hair look can feel daunting. Here are some tips
Accessories come first. For anyone that knows me, I'm a sucker for a bow. It's playful and romantic. This would suit a jumpsuit-style dress or a princess-style ballroom gown. Hair up or half-up, however this is all dictated by your personal style, your neckline, and what will make for jaw-dropping photo moments.
If your hair is weak and needs some oomph, try popping a daily vitamin with biotin. You should see results within three months. Also, avoid heated tools on your hair. I've noticed a huge difference since I started using the Dyson Airwrap.
If you are hoping to grow your hair out and don't succeed, never worry. We have clip-in extensions available for brides, and we also use various techniques such as nano (so discreet, and amazing for those with an active lifestyle), tape (perfect for extremely fine hair) and weave for those with a more sedentary lifestyle. We use Beauty Works hair extensions.
Hair detox. This is when you don't do a single thing with your hair for two or three days prior to your wedding day. You can also practise training your hair now: try to only wash your hair three times a week to begin, eventually down to twice a week and finally once a week.
Hair colouring for blondes. We recommend having your fresh colour two weeks prior to the big day and a bridal VIP blow-dry or Glowdry (complimentary gin and tonic) and treatment the week of the big day. It's all about the pampering.
Finally, invest in good quality shampoo and conditioner. We highly recommend the Joico range, available here in the salon. I hope this all helps. Love, Aoibheann.

G&G is six
So hard to believe my baby is six! What an amazing six years it has been. From winning Best Business Start-Up six months after we opened in 2015, to winning the Irish Wedding Awards four years in a row, winning RSVP Colourists of the Year and RSVP Businesswoman of the Week, the list is endless.
The amazing events we held, from masterclasses with Louise McDonnell, Keilidh MUA and Lo Lavxo, and who could forget our G&G Summits. For the opportunities that G&G has brought and the incredible people we have met along the way, all our gorgeous brides at home and abroad, and not forgetting the dream team. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented girls in the industry over the years.

LMD Make Up Masterclass highlights
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting a glamorous cosmetic event in association with Note Cosmetics and one of Ireland's most influential makeup artists, the fabulous Louise "LMD" McDonnell. She gave an expert masterclass to a sold-out crowd of over 200 beauty fans in McGettigan's Hotel, with our very own Aoibheann as MC for a night packed with fun moments, goodie bags and giveaways.

G&G, winner of Best Start-Up Business
Letterkenny Business Awards. Current, classic and contemporary makeup, artistry, hair, nails and all things beauty are housed in the vintage-styled G&G, which opened in March 2015. Within six months it had a staff of eight and a waiting list of two weeks or more for appointments.
In addition to being a specialist in high-end makeup, Aoibheann has been chosen by the Education and Training Board to deliver a certification in makeup artistry and workshops in over a dozen salons throughout the country. From a spare room in Aoibheann's apartment, G&G grew to over 200 regular customers in its first year.
